There are a lot of books written by successful Christian leaders about their journey in corporate leadership balancing faith and business. There are also a lot of books that have been written since the time of Martin Luther on the integration of Faith & Work. Over the past few years, there has been a resurgence of the recognition for the potential of integrating faith and work that Dr. David Miller at Princeton University is now calling a social movement. The faith and work movement has highlighted the WOW- as in, “Wow! Everyday work matters to God and can be worship!” This movement has established the theological call for people of faith to integrate their values, purpose, and beliefs into their everyday work. However, this book is very different from individual testimonials or a theological perspective on why work matters.
Unlike previous work, this book looks at both the WOW and the HOW, focusing explicitly on HOW faith and work can be integrated for purposeful and profitable business. This books explores HOW faith has been integrated into business starting with a scriptural model that was introduced 3000 years ago and explores not just one leader’s perspective but explores the impact of scriptural principles in nearly a dozen organizations that are led by both faith-based and non-faith-based leaders.
In addition, this book integrates 50+ years of academic findings related to the outcomes of faith-based practices for corporate success and impact. The result is a book that explores scripture, multiple cases, and 1000s of data points that exemplify the impact and power of faith at work.
